Pulsewire, the MONI subsidiary, launched www.mypressalert.com on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. The on-time, as-planned soft launch of this beta product represents an initial step for Pulsewire in developing it’s robust, real-time news alerts product.

A key feature is our ability to monitor news in real time and match topics of interest to spoken words. To simplify things, as a consumer of MyPressAlert, the workflow looks like this:

• Sign up for an account
• Set up a project
• Add keywords to the project
• Consume the results
  • Listen to the live news snippet
  • Read a transcript of that snippet
  • Read an ai-generated summary of the news story
  • Set up alerts
    • If your keyword is mentioned, this alert will immediately come to you and you can login to listen to the captured snippet, or click the link to the source of the snippet

From capturing the mention of your keyword to you getting an alert happens in seconds. In our testing, it’s reliably happening within 2 seconds. In the larger, real world where your ISP has settings on email fetching, internet connectivity can be variable and even each of our cell companies may be the source of delayed data fetching, it may take longer.

At the core of it all, is your list of keywords. The topics YOU are most interested in. If those keywords are mentioned in the media (TV and radio at launch), that kicks off the entire cycle. If you enter keywords that aren’t being mentioned in the media, you won’t see much data. But if you want or need to know the moment a hot topic is talked about, live, you’ll see it happening in near-real-time.

Is it paid, or free?

Consumers will have to pay for full access to this product. The work we’re doing to source the data, to crunch the data and provide the insights to the consumer has real, hard costs, so paid subscriptions make the most sense here.
